The two levels of sedation we offer are:

Nitrous Oxide Sedation Laughing Gas Banner

Nitrous Oxide Sedation (Laughing Gas) is extremely safe. In our office, it is the only sedation option we have available for children and medically compromised adults. It is a popular choice for all patients in our practice and can be used during a wide variety of procedures. Whether your appointment is for a simple dental cleanings or you are receiving a more complex treatment, Nitrous Oxide is a great choice. The process is simple and involves inhaling Nitrous Oxide through the nose from a mask that remains on for the duration of the appointment. The experience is often described as euphoric and there are absolutely no side effects. Patients can usually drive themselves safely to and from the office when Nitrous Oxide is used.

Oral medications can be taken with or without Nitrous Oxide. Oral medications help to keep you relaxed throughout your appointment. Typically, these medications are taken in the office an hour before your appointment. Some medications will help you feel relaxed, and others have an effect that can make you feel drowsy. Consuming oral medications may result in little to no memory of the procedure. When choosing this option, you are required to bring someone to drive you to and from your appointment.

If you are interested in either of our sedation dental procedures, please request a complimentary 30-minute sedation consultation with the doctor so we can discuss your individual treatment needs select the option most appropriate for you.
